Specialized Youth Services is offering the Summer Day Treatment Program again this year. It is our 12th year offering the summer program. This program is fully funded by Medicaid and FAMIS, and is licensed by DBHDS. FAPT funding is also available in some communities. For more information please click the following link.
Summer Day Treament Program
The School-Based Day Treatment program is designed to help children and adolescents achieve in the school setting utilizing a counselor who will provide individual, group and crisis intervention therapy throughout the day. The counselor will work closely with the teachers, parents and community resources to provide a successful continuity of care. Students are identified for participation by referring agencies, parents or educational staff. The program meets the needs of students ranging in age from 3-21 who are enrolled in school and exhibiting difficulty in emotional response, inability to function in a structured environment, or exhibiting difficulty with behavioral responses. The counselor will make weekly contact with the referring agent and parents to discuss the student’s progress. A program staff to child ratio of 1:5 is provided. This program is licensed by DBHDS and may be funded by Medicaid and FAMIS.
